In 1937, a Seattle company operating as Marine Electrolysis Eliminator Company (MEECO), under a contract from the United States Department of Natural Resources developed a product for the removal of soot from wood-burning stand-by generators and power plants. The company trademarked the name “MEECO’S RED DEVIL” and introduced this product to the general public the same year. From this beginning, MEECO has built its reputation of quality and service.

When I found MEECO it was like a dream come true. The glass cleaner for my wood stove door is the best product I have ever used in all my years. Other cleaners simply don’t get the job done with one spray but Meeco’s product gets the black off the window with one application spray. I also LOVE the firestarters and they work better than cedar chips I used to find. Lastly, the chimney cleaner seems to work great! After all this was said and done I found out they were a Seattle company and that completed the trifecta for me! If you want results, use Meeco. I wish I owned the company! 🙂
