🔥 Burn Indicator
The Burn Indicator is designed for vertical applications on single-wall chimney pipes or the cooktop surface of any wood or coal stove.
🔧 How to Use the Burn Indicator for Optimal Efficiency
- Placement
Mount the thermometer 18″–24″ above the top of the stove on a single-wall chimney pipe or cooktop surface. - Know Your Stove
The most efficient burn zone varies by stove model.
👉 Consult your owner’s manual for recommended burn temperatures. - Start Your Fire
Build a fire as you normally would. - Check for Smoke
Once the fire is burning steadily, go outside and observe the chimney:- If visible smoke is present, open the draft to allow more air.
- Wait a few minutes, then check the chimney again.
- Repeat Until Clear
Continue adjusting the draft and checking the chimney until no visible smoke is coming from the flue. - Set Your Target Temperature
Once the smoke is gone, note the temperature on the Burn Indicator.
This is your target temperature for maximum efficiency and minimal emissions
